Tell Your Story

This week I have been reading some of the letters that my great Oma & her family wrote from Russia to my Oma who had emigrated to Canada. Letters from a mother to daughter. The letters tell a story: starvation, scarlet fever, persecution, a longing to be united again. They also speak of hearts with a deep faith in Jesus.

Maybe it’s because I am a bit of a dreamer, but I imagine that our stories ripple into another’s. I love to think that when Jesus is part of these stories, they transcend pain, time and space. Collectively, they become part of a bigger story of God’s faithfulness and love for us.

I am thankful that the words my great oma penned many years ago, gives me more courage & freedom to tell my own.
